1) Teachers are expected to produce achievement for all students. Is this possible? What determines achievment for each student?
2) If we can teach students various strategies that play on their individual learning style, we can show them how to learn.

I have the same feelings about teachers trying to produce success for all students. Who defines success? Does the student only have to show some rate of improvement to be successful? As teachers, we will have to ensure that every student in our classroom is improving in all areas. What about a situation where the student just simply cannot progress anymore in a certain area?
ReplyDeleteTeaching a variety of learning strategies and using a variety of teaching approaches to meet all learning styles will help ensure success for all students. However, every child may not achieve success if the standard for sucess is the same for every child. Is the standard of success individually determined for each child? Are the subgroups considered when determining the success standards?
